In
China, God is using children
ministry to bring many separated
churches together. Thank
God that, seeing revivals
in house churches because
of children ministry, tri-independence
churches started caring
more about children ministry
and, by so doing, they went
through many conflicts with
the government authorities.(Chinese
government forbids preaching
gospel to children under
age 18.)Their
actions caused serious “concerns”
from the government.
Many
Sunday school teachers of
house churches in China
have been arrested because
of their service in Sunday
schools. Even Sunday school
students were arrested.
But thank God that, no mater
how severely they were persecuted,
they wouldn’t confess the
names of their Sunday school
teachers….
More
than twenty years ago, our
Joyful Island program received
a letter from a child in
China. He was a 10 year-old
and he received God through
listening to our program.
With great joy, he followed
the teachings in our program
to preach gospel to his
classmates. But his classmates
didn’t want to listen to
him and they even beat him
seriously. They wanted him
to deny the existence of
God. Though he was beaten
to the ground bleeding,
he still insisted that he
believed in God. Later he
wrote the letter to ask
us to pray for his classmates
who beat him.
We
are so touched by testimonies
like this. We see the faith
of the persecuted Christians,
found not only in the early
apostles, but also nowadays
in China. God is still using
many of his faithful servants
who are loyal even to death
to glorify His name.
Over
these more than 20 years,
working with God by being
faithful to His calling,
our three children programs,
“Popcorn”, “Children’s Bible
Stories”, and ” Joyful Island”,
have been helping Sunday
school ministry in China
by providing materials and
teachings to build up both
the children and their teachers.
We see the faithful testimonies
of the Sunday school teachers
and children and we know
that “God has done great
things for us!” Here we’d
like to ask you to remember
the suffering Sunday school
teachers and children in
China in your prayers.
We
also sincerely invite you
to work with us in the Lord,
besides praying for them,
to support financially the
children broadcast ministry
to share gospel with Chinese
children. You may support
these three programs with
a fixed amount of donation
and become one of our “Heaven’s
Little Paratroopers.” So
far, besides regular donation
income for these three programs,
there is a still monthly
need of N.T$100,000 production
cost.

Due
to heavy school pressure,
a lot of young people in
China are suffering from
“childhood panic.” In a
national survey, almost
80 percent of junior and
elementary school students
feel sad because of exams.
One out of ten of them feel
desperate because of pressure
from exams or study. It’s
a fact that there is fierce
competition in our education
system, in which parents
always think that studying
hard is the only way to
succeed. Let’s pray for
all Christian parents and
their children that they
will not only pursue academic
performance, but also become
faithful children of God.
Reaching
Chinese children for Christ
has been our unceasing mission
and ministry over these
twenty years. Thank God
that, this year, “Popcorn”
and “Joyful Island” will
have even more abundant
content to attract all Chinese
children especially in in-land
cities and villages to bring
them to know God in their
childhood and become healthy
in body, mind, and spirit,
so they can honor God in
their school learning and
walk in God’s way in all
the days of their life.
Now,
“Children’s Bible Stories”
still needs volunteers to
write the broadcast drafts.
We sincerely hope that there
will be more participation
from brothers, sisters,
or pastors who have the
burden and the gift in this
field. We need your prayers
support and help in the
Lord. (2006
