Voice of Salvation was founded in Taiwan on January 16^th, 1974, by missionaries from Norwegian Lutheran Mission in Norway. Thank God that this year is our 32^nd anniversary. In God’s grace, Voice of Salvation was started with a simple cassette recorder and player, broadcasting gospel programs to coastal villages in eastern Taiwan, such as I-Lan City, Luo-tung Town, Su-au Town…etc. Today, in God’s grace and guidance, we have two professional recording studios, and three computerized small recording studios. And the vision of V.O.S has been broadened from Taiwan to all Chinese worldwide.

Starting 1993, Norwegian missionaries left Taiwan one after another. They transferred V.O.S to the Lutheran Church of the Republic of China, under which it became a “radio broadcast mission organization.” In 1997, the Lutheran Church of the Republic of China began a plan to make V.O.S independent of Lutheran support, to be a “Chinese radio gospel broadcast organization” supported by all churches, brothers, and sisters.

Over more than 30 years, V.O.S has never stopped preaching gospel by using broadcasts, publications, and audio materials…etc. We also help our listeners to find suitable churches and use “Salvation Bible correspondence courses” to do the follow-up and truth-building work.

In March 2003, “Cloud of Witnesses,” a life-witnessing program over 10 years old, expanded into “Cloud of Witnesses Gospel Ministry” under God’s plan and guidance. Besides extending the broadcast of this program from Taiwan, China, U.S.A, Canada, Australia, to all Chinese worldwide, we reproduce the over 400 program recordings on CDs or cassettes, which are provided to all churches, brothers and sisters for the purpose of preaching the gospel. We also help churches hold witnessing gatherings and encourage them to preach to their community and neighbors.
