I haven't written to you for the past year, but I have never forgotten you in my daily prayers. I couldn't listen to your program for at least six months since my radio was broken. I didn't have money to buy a new one. I can't support myself anymore. I am over 60 years old, but I don't have any retirement fund because my working department closed down about 10 years ago. Since I am aged, I can't find any job either. Right now, I am living by collecting the recycled goods from the street, and I am earning about 5 RMB a day. If I want to go to a senior apartment, it will cost me 250 RMB for monthly expenses and 400 RMB for gas and electricity in order to be accepted. I don't think I can survive any longer with this kind of living. Besides that, my wife passed away last year, so I feel really lonely most of the time. I thought about committing suicide for many times, but I reminded myself that I am a child of God, and God will come and take me home one day.

The broadcast in the winter is not very convenient for us listeners from the village. We were still sleeping when the program started. It will be better if the program can broadcast from noon to 2 PM; this is the time when most people are resting at home. I have been a Christian for 12 years. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord in 1996. I heard the Good News from the gospel station, after that, I started going to church and studying the Bible. I applied for radio seminary courses back then, now I am leading at my own church. I feel that I am lacking certain Bible knowledge, so I listen to the program to enrich, train, equip and prepare myself better. Our church is a church in a village, and we have about 80 people. I heard your reply to my letter on the radio the other day. What you said was parallel to what God has been speaking to me lately-to read God's word continuously and to follow His commands.

I am a teacher at an elementary school. I am 29 years old. I have been listening to your program, and I have been learning a lot from it. As a young adult, I am facing a lot of temptations and challenges, but I have been praying for God's strength to help me fight against those worldly forces. At work, I have children in my class who are spoiled by their parents, and sometimes I got frustrated. However, I kept asking God to give me His love so that I can love these kids. If these kids never get to know God, how sad and unfortunate would their future be?

I am also encountering some difficulties with my relationships. I know clearly that I want a marriage that honors God, and I want to wait for the Lord for my future husband. I have been waiting, and the waiting period has been pretty hard to bear. As a matter of fact, most of my friends are married, and if I say I don't envy them, I would be lying.

Honestly, I have good qualities, I am good looking, and I have a good job. Because of that, my relatives are wondering why I am still single. Every time when we have a family gathering, I have to depend on God's power in order to face them. Especially for my father, he is having a hard time accepting me not being married. He has been angry with me before, and out of disappointment, he finally decided that he would not bother me with this matter anymore. I feel terrible, but I am still standing firm with God's teachings. It will be nearly impossible to have a lasting marriage without God in this era. Please pray for my future marriage; please pray that I will have God's power to continue waiting for the right person. I know that we as Christians will face many hardships in our journey, but I trust that all these will pass, and God will strengthen my faith through all of these.
